Biography John O'Connor was born in Toronto in 1961 and was educated at the University of Waterloo where he received degrees in Environmental Studies and Architecture. Extensive travel and study in Europe lead to extended work experience in London, England in the late 1980's and Venice, Italy in the early 1990's. The foundation of his Canadian experience started with Arthur Erickson and led to the design and management of large complex projects.
He started his own architectural practice in 1998. His creative passion for both designing and making things led him to found Basis Design Build in 1999.
